Hello friends!
I am Architect Dr. Chandra Shekhar Changeriya, bringing you the latest update on one of our very special and spiritual projects. Recently, I visited the site of our Project P840: Khatu Shyam Temple, which is being constructed in Mandideep, near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
As an architect, seeing a design created on paper or a computer screen come to life on the ground is always a wonderful experience. The main objective of this site visit was to closely inspect the construction work done so far and to provide proper guidance to the team for the upcoming stages.
Observation of Work Done So Far (Project Progress):
As soon as you reach the site, you can sense the grandeur of the temple. As you can see in the pictures:
Construction of Spires (Shikhar) and Domes: The framework of the temple's main spires has taken shape. Peeking through the bamboo scaffolding, the intricate carving and the design of the 'Kalash' on these spires are progressing magnificently.
Artistic Carvings: The artistic designs being engraved on the outer domes and walls through cement/concrete casting reflect our traditional architecture. The hard work of the artisans is clearly visible in these designs.
Pillars and Entrance: We also inspected the carved pillars of the main entrance and the veranda. Special attention is being paid to the finishing and strength of these pillars so that this temple continues to radiate its beauty for centuries.
Guidance for Future Work (Site Discussion & Guidance):
The success of any project depends on good teamwork. At the site, I held a detailed meeting with the team of contractors, supervisors, and artisans.
We primarily discussed the following points:
Implementing the intricacies of the design with the same precision as finalized in the blueprints.
Using the right techniques for the upcoming plastering and finishing work.
Maintaining the quality of construction materials (Quality Control).
Preparing a roadmap to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe.
Seeing the spires of the under-construction temple in the light of the setting sun was a very peaceful moment. I am fully confident that when this Khatu Shyam Temple is completely built, it will become a major center of faith and architecture not only for Mandideep but for devotees across the entire Bhopal region.
