🔍 Purpose of Visit:

  • To inspect the ongoing construction progress of the Nagraj Mandir temple project.
  • To assess the stone carving work for the Garbh Grah (Sanctum Sanctorum).
  • To interact with the skilled labourers and artisans working on site.
  • To coordinate and discuss the next stages of stone carving and placement.

🧱 Work Progress Observed:

  1. Temple Structure:
    • Foundation and primary structure of the Garbh Grah is complete.
    • Stone platform and boundary work in advanced stages.
  2. Stone Carving (Banshi Pahadpur Stone):
    • High-quality carving observed on Banshi Pahadpur sandstone blocks.
    • Artisans are executing detailed religious motifs and traditional temple patterns.
    • Several decorative panels and base stones are in progress.
  3. Site Cleanliness and Organization:
    • Worksite is mostly clean and materials are stacked methodically.
    • Carving tools, stone blocks, and safety materials available and in use.

🛠️ Key Discussions Held:

  • With Contractor Lakhan Choudhry:
    • Reviewed current progress vs project schedule.
    • Discussed logistics for delivery of next batch of carved stones.
    • Emphasized on maintaining quality and precision in the carvings.
  • With Banshi Pahadpur Artisans:
    • Discussed technical carving details for Garbh Grah pillars and shikhar (temple tower).
    • Agreed on timeline for completion of next set of detailed blocks.
    • Emphasized importance of accuracy in religious iconography.
  • With Er. Arjun:
    • Technical checks on stone fitting and stability.
    • Recommendations for minor alignment corrections.
    • Verified use of traditional materials as per temple architecture norms.

Observations & Remarks:

  • Artisan skill level is commendable – traditional methods are being respected.
  • Banshi Pahadpur stone quality is excellent – uniform grains and smooth finish observed.
  • Weather conditions favorable for continued stonework.
  • No major issues reported; minor improvements suggested in work sequencing.
